PARTICIPATION RULES


  1. The “2023 Advent Calendar” Competition (hereinafter the “Competition”) is organized by La Société – Jeux d’évasée (hereinafter the “Competition Organizers”). The contest begins on December 1, 2023 and ends on January 15, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. (ET) (hereinafter the “Contest Period”).


ELIGIBILITY


  1. The Competition is open to anyone aged eighteen (18) years or older on the date of their participation in the Competition. Excluded are employees, agents and/or representatives of the Competition Organizers – and/or one of their divisions –, or their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers of prizes, materials and services. related to this Competition or any other party directly linked to the holding of this Competition as well as members of their immediate family. For the purposes hereof, “immediate family” means fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, children, legal or common-law spouse and all persons with whom these employees, agents and representatives are domiciled.


HOW TO PARTICIPATE


  1. Registration

To participate, simply comply with the eligibility conditions set out herein and, during the Contest Period:

  2. Participate in the La Société advent calendar - Escape games. This is access to a web platform developed by the company.
  3. Solve all 20 of the 24 puzzles before January 15, 2024 11:59 p.m. Riddles will be available one per day from December 1 to December 24, 2023. Riddles from previous days will remain available until the competition end date.
  4. To be declared a winner of the Competition, each selected participant must, on their Participation Form, have provided the correct answer to the mathematical question (each of these being hereinafter collectively or individually referred to as the “Winner”, and have answered correctly has 20 puzzles, subject to the other conditions stipulated in these regulations).
  5. Participants must respect the following limits, failing which the Competition Organizers reserve the right to cancel one or more of their entries:

    5. Three (3) $34.25 gift cards (the equivalent of a single pass for an indoor escape game) from La Société - Escape Games. Value: $34.25 / gift card

DESIGNATION OF WINNERS

  1. On January 23, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. ET, in Rimouski, at the offices of La Société - Jeux d'évasée located at 5, rue St-Germain Est, suite 101, a random selection will be made from among all the correct answers in accordance with paragraph 3 above, in order to award the grand prize described in point 4.
  2. There is a limit of one prize per person per residence. Any participant who is selected under the terms of this contest and who does not comply with this condition will be automatically disqualified and another drawing will take place to select a participant. A proof of identity may be required when claiming the prize.
  3. The chances of an entrant's entry being selected at random depend on the number of entries recorded.


CLAIMING PRIZES

  1. In order to be declared a winner, any selected person must: 9.1 be contacted within 48 hours of random selection; 9.2 having answered correctly, without help and within a limited time, to the mathematical question appearing on the Participation Form; and 9.3 sign the declaration and waiver of liability form (hereinafter, the “Declaration Form”) and return it no later than 48 hours following receipt.
  2. By participating in this Competition, each participant agrees to be bound by these participation rules. Failing to comply with one of the conditions mentioned in the paragraph above or any other condition provided for in these participation rules, the participation of the selected person will be canceled and if time permits, a new selection for this prize will be made in accordance with in these regulations or, at the discretion of the Competition Organizers, by a random draw among the finalists or all the participants until a participant is selected and declared the winner, without affecting the order of awarding of other prizes.
  3. Within 15 days of the person being declared a winner, the Company will inform this person of how they can take possession of their prize.



TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Verification. Entry forms, if applicable, are subject to verification by the Competition Organizers. Any Entry Form which is, as the case may be, incomplete, incomprehensible, inaudible, illegible, fraudulent, mutilated, sent late or otherwise non-compliant will be automatically rejected and will not entitle you to an entry or a prize.
  2. Disqualification. The Competition Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any person or to cancel one or more entries of any person participating in this Competition or attempting to participate by means contrary to these rules or likely to be unfair to other participants. (e.g. participations exceeding the permitted limit, computer hacking, etc.). Any attempt to deliberately damage the Website or undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. If such an attempt takes place, the Competition Organizers reserve the right to claim damages from this person, without prejudice to the Competition Organizers' rights to pursue any other recourse within the limits permitted by law. This person could be referred to the competent legal authorities.
  3. Non-compliance/eligibility. Any participant who is declared a winner in this Contest and who does not comply with these eligibility conditions will be automatically disqualified and another selection will take place to select a winner. Any designated winner who does not comply with these eligibility conditions must inform the Competition Organizers as soon as they are contacted.
  4. Acceptance of the price. Any prize must be accepted as described in these rules and cannot be transferred to another person, substituted for another prize or exchanged in part or in whole for money, subject to what is provided. in the paragraph below.
  5. Price substitution. In the event that it is impossible, difficult and/or more expensive for the Competition Organizers to award a prize (or a portion of a prize) as described in these regulations, they reserve the right to award a prize (or portion of a prize) of the same nature and equivalent value or, at their sole discretion, the value of the prize (or portion of a prize) indicated in the cash regulations.
  6. Refusal to accept a price. The refusal of a person selected in accordance with these rules to accept a prize according to the terms of these rules releases the Competition Organizers from any obligation related to this prize towards this person.
  7. Limitation of Liability/Use of Prize. Any selected person releases the Contest Organizers, their respective affiliated companies and divisions and any other legal entity of their respective corporate group, their advertising and promotion agencies, their shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives (hereinafter designated the “Beneficiaries”) of any liability relating to any damage that it may suffer due to the acceptance or use of its prize. In order to be declared a winner and prior to obtaining their prize, any selected person undertakes to sign a Declaration Form to this effect, if required.
  8. Responsibility of the prize supplier. Any person selected for a prize acknowledges that upon receipt of a letter confirming their prize, the execution of the services related to this prize becomes the entire and exclusive responsibility of the prize OR service provider. A declaration to this effect will be included in the Declaration Form.
  9. Responsibility/operation of the Competition. The Beneficiaries disclaim all liability with regard to: the malfunction of any computer component, any software or any communication line; any faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible or deleted transmission by any computer or network, and which may limit the possibility or prevent any person from participating in the Competition; any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of one or more entries in the Competition; problems with the functions of the Website or the features of the Website, regardless of the cause; malfunction of, or damage to, telephone network or lines, computer equipment, voice mail system or device, data or software, online systems, servers or access providers; any loss of function because the cookies are not activated; Internet congestion; the security or confidentiality of information transmitted by computer or telephone networks; or any breach of privacy due to interference by hackers.
  10. Access to the website, if applicable. The Beneficiaries do not guarantee in any way that the Website will be accessible or functional without interruption during the Duration of the Competition or that it will be free from any error.
  11. Modification. The Competition Organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Competition in whole or in part in the event that an event, error or any intervention occurs. human nature that may corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or conduct of the Competition as provided for in these regulations, subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec , if required.
  12. Premature end of the Competition.   16. Authorisation. By participating in this Competition, any winner authorizes the Competition Organizers and their representatives to use, if required, their name, photograph, image, declaration relating to the prize, place of residence and/or voice without any form of remuneration and this, at their discretion and without limitation as to the period of use, in any media and on a global scale (including, without limitation, on the Website and the websites of the Competition Organizers, for advertising purposes or for any other purpose deemed relevant. A declaration to this effect will be included in the Declaration Form.
  17. Communication with participants. No communication or correspondence will be exchanged with participants as part of this Competition except with those selected for a prize or for the purposes of validating the personal information of certain participants (e.g. email, telephone number).
  18. Personal information. Personal information collected about participants as part of this Contest will be used only by the Contest Organizers and their representatives for the administration of this Contest. No communication, commercial or otherwise, unrelated to this Contest will be sent to a participant, unless that participant expressly authorizes it.
  19. Decisions of the Competition Organizers. Any decision of the Contest Organizers or their representatives relating to this Contest is final and without appeal, subject to any decision of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux du Québec in relation to any question falling within its jurisdiction.
  20. A dispute regarding the organization or conduct of an Advertising Competition may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a decision. A dispute regarding the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purposes of intervention to attempt to resolve it.
  21. Participant identification. For the purposes of these rules, the participant is the person whose name appears in the Participation Form. It is to this person that the mathematical skill-testing question will be asked and to whom the prize will be awarded if selected and declared a winner.
  22. Unenforceable paragraph. If any paragraph of these rules is declared or found to be illegal, unenforceable or void by a court of competent jurisdiction, then that paragraph will be deemed void, but all other paragraphs which are not affected will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  23. Jurisdiction. This Contest is subject to all applicable municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations.
